I am currently interested in the application of network analysis to research questions in ecological systems, with a focus ondisease ecology andepidemiology. My work emanates from two fundamental questions in disease ecology: why are particular hosts infected by particular parasites, and how these ecological interactions affect parasite dynamics in host populations?
I use a combination of theoretical modeling with analysis of empirical data. Although I come from the ecology discipline I apply methods and theory from other disciplines. In fact, much of my ongoing work is inspired by studies from the physics domain.
My Ph.D. advisers are Prof. Boris Krasnov (Ben-Gurion University) and Prof. Serge Morand (CNRS, France) and I am lucky to collaborate with many other excellent ecologists, including Jordi Bascompte, Miguel Fortuna, Robert Poulin and Charles Nunn.
